Motion Graphics

Creative Director Justin Meredith of Sibling Rivalry came to FX WRX to create these motion graphics for A+E. This work was accomplished with physical art, practical optical FX, and motion control cinematography. 

Clear acrylic sculptures of the logo we made and hand polished to the highest level possible. These were mounted on motorized rigs allowing them to gracefully move in multiple axis while the camera floated and rolled in a synchronized choreography. 

The set was surrounded by large panels with vibrant color strips projected on them. This reflected color was the main source of illumination for the entire piece. Additional layers of moving optical glass also refracted the letters and transmitted light and color. 

Working in this way infused the imagery with real texture and light play. It also brought a sense of creative exploration and discovery to the process.
