Long-time collaborators Loyal Kaspar brought this project for the US Open to FX WRX studio for a special creative process. An analog optical compositing system was created, which allowed them to add in-camera effects and motion graphics to existing video in real time.

Multiple high-resolution display panels were synced to the camera. Physical optical elements were placed on motorized rigs to manipulate the imagery and layer it with moving typography in-camera.

The team blended individual shots with specific motion graphics and kaleidoscopic refractions. Seeing the results live brought efficiencies to the process and opportunities for creative improvisation. ​​​​​
