This show title for A&E’s THE RETURNED was created in-camera by reflecting a projected image onto water in a special tank built by FX WRX. Additional moving images were also captured as fluid reflections and refractions with in-camera optical effects. Loyal Kaspar then used the shots to create the show’s main title sequence. Working in this way allowed the team to bring unexpected distortions and beauty to the work by combining video playback with live optical and liquid effects.
